Topic: Autoexecuted file upon boot

Is there a way to execute a file (TAP, snapshot, command, whatever) every time esxDOS boots?

Impossible in current versions 0.8.5 or 0.8.6.

And, if I write my own SYS file, would ESXDOS load and execute it? How can I write my own SYS module?

Hi,

This is planned for the next release, but at the moment it's not possible, sorry.

Hi,

This is planned for the next release, but at the moment it's not possible, sorry.

Hope an AUTOEXEC feature is possible in future esxDOS version :-)

And while seeing the "Spectrum Next" on it´s way, I hope this can boot even from a secondary card hd1 if hd0 has no AUTOEXEC file present.

Not yet quite complete what you want, but have a look at development of "new NMI-Browser":

Here you can define a "Fast-ramp loader" File (yet only Snapshots, but soon .TAP and .TRD maybe be added):
With this: Just press NMI and F and this file is loaded directly.
