I am sure, TRDOS bundled with ESXDOS cannot be freely replaced, because it have modified code which interracting with floppy disk controller (WD1793 and compatible). If i understand correctly - this part of TRDOS was replaced by code which is emulating floppy disk controller behavior and working with SD card (or IDE device on DivIDE) etc...

But during many years was developed several better versions of TRDOS. Czech version TRDOS 5.05CZ is only one of them. It is much faster with real floppy drive than original 5.03, more reliable etc... And it have many repaired bugs.

One bug in original TRDOS (and in many russian versions) is command RUN, which cannot be used repeatedly in program, but with 5.05CZ can be (it simplifies BASIC loaders), command LIST prints header only once, in 5.03 is header printed every page, which is problem if you redirect output of command LIST on printer (LIST #3). Etc...

Simpler switching between disk drives is only one small thing which is suprisingly convenient if you work with more disk drives (TRD images).

On real Betadisk i am using modified version of TRDOS 5.05CZ with some very neat features.

One of features is simplified switching between disk drives with commands *A instead original *"A:". It is not something which can have any influence on software compatibility, because this command is not normally used in any BASIC programs (i mean - in BASIC program will be used original compatible syntax). But it is very convenient for users during work in TRDOS command line.

Can you please modify TRDOS bundled with ESXDOS and add this little but useful feature?
