Here my suggestion for a new .command called e.g. .lstime or .lsdate:

.lstime - This should display a directory list with newest file first

and/or something like:

.lslast or .newest - This should display the filename of the youngest file in the file-list
This can be useful for finding/renaming the latest created file e.g. the latest saved snapshot.

And with .renlast or better .mvlast the newest file can be listed and renamed.
